5. The angels of God

Little Angela and her mum had a lovely time in the forest. But it was time for them to return home. On the way home, Sophia decided to talk to her little daughter about the Angels, but also about the demons who want evil things to happen to people.

"Angela, do you want to learn, who was the evil one who entered into the snake and tricked Adam and Eve in Paradise?" 

"Yes, mum, tell me!"

"Before I tell you something about him, my child, I have to talk to you first about the Holy Angels."

"Did God also make the angels?"

"Yes, my child! Our Almighty God created them before He even created us humans, but also this whole wonderful material world we see!"

"Are there many Angels, mum?"

"There are so many that nobody can count them!"

"Where are the angels now?"

"They are in heaven, in the Heavenly Kingdom of our Father God. They are fluttering around the glorious throne of our good God and are praising Him incessantly with their angelic voices."

"Can we see them?"

"The Angels, my daughter, are spirits. They are not made up of  matter, that is why they are invisible. So we humans cannot see them with our human eyes."

"Are the Angels beautiful?"

"They're gorgeous! No more beautiful creatures than them exist in our good God's whole creation! They are glowing with heavenly light, because the Holy Spirit is flooding their beings with Light and Love. They live in  absolute joy and happiness. God gave them many gifts and the great gift of free choice."

"What is this gift, mum?"

"It is a gift with which everyone can choose good or evil for themselves. The good God gave them this gift because He wanted His angels to love Him with their own will and not by obligation or force. Then, my daughter, God divided them, according to their work, into ten large groups, called orders. Each order has its own leader. In the tenth order the leader was Lucifer. But he, at some point, envied the glory of God and wanted to become God, so that he could rule over all of God's creation by himself. In order to achieve this, he tried with cunning words to lead astray all the angels to come with him. But then, an archangel, Michael, stood among the angels and, with his prudent words full of wisdom, helped the angels to understand the cunning of Lucifer and to go far away from him.Thus, Lucifer, apart from the angels who belonged to the tenth order, of which he was the leader, was unable to deceive and lead astray anyone else. All the other angels, led by the Archangel Michael, remained faithful and devoted to our good God."

"I can imagine, mum, how much God was pleased with these angels, who remained faithful to Him and had not been led astray by Lucifer!"

"Yes, my child, He was very pleased with His faithful Angels. He blessed all of them and even more the Archangel Michael, whom He made the leader of all the Holy Angels! Indeed, at the request of all the angels, He gave them a new gift. To be steady, from now on, in good and in virtue and no evil will be able to affect their angelic existence!"

"What happened to Lucifer and the angels who followed him?"

"They left the heavenly kingdom and our good God and fell into a terrible and dark place, called hell. Upon leaving the heavenly kingdom, they lost the angelic beauty they had at first and became very dark and ugly. They became demons.  After the fall of Lucifer and the angels who followed him, our good God decided to create us, humans. He wanted those of the people, who live on earth correctly, according to His holy will, to form the tenth angelic order that had left Him. For this reason, the demons have a lethal hate for us and make us commit sins, to prevent us from going close to God, but to take us one day with them into the horrible hell! Can you understand now, my Angela, who was the evil one who entered into the snake to deceive Adam and Eve?"

"It was Lucifer, mum, wasn't it?"

"Yes, my child, it was him! He and his demons always want to harm all people! That is why we need to be very careful and not to commit any sin or any other evil thing that he puts into our mind, to make us his own slaves!"

"I understand, mum, why I have to be a good child and not make mistakes. I want to be faithful and devoted to our good God, like the faithful angels, and to do only His holy will."
