It was already noon
and Angela and her mum were enjoying their lunch under a towering tree by the
river.
"How beautiful
it is here, mum!"
"Our good God,
Angela, made it all very beautiful, so that we humans are happy and never forget how much He loves us! That
is why, every time you will admire His wonderful creation, say to Him "thank You my God". Our very good
God rejoices when we thank Him for the gifts He gives us and blesses us even
more."
"It seems to
me, my mum that I will continuously be saying, "I thank You my God,"
because I like them all so much!"
"It is very
polite, my Angela, to tell our good God these wonderful words, "Thank You". These
words show much respect and gratitude to our creator God, who loves
us very much and benefits us every day
with His liberally gifts."
"Did Adam say
"thank You" to God for everything He gave him?"
"Yes, my
daughter! When Adam opened his eyes and saw all this wonderful creation of our
good God, his soul was flooded with great joy and admiration! He did not know
what to admire first! It was all so beautiful! But, do you know what made his
heart happier?"
"What, mum?"
"When he saw our good God! He was the first
thing he saw when he opened his eyes, when God created him."
"Mum, I
understand how happy he was, because I feel the same every time I'm near you
and you hide me in your embrace!”
At these clever
words of her little daughter, Sophia could not hide her joy and enthusiasm. She
took her into her warm, motherly embrace and covered her with many kisses. Little
Angela, however, did not stop asking her questions and wanting to learn more
and more.
"Mum, did our
good God, smile at Adam?"
"Yes, He
smiled at him sweetly like a sweet mummy at her baby, and filled his heart with
a lot of joy, peace and happiness."
"I can imagine
how happy Adam would have been!"
"My Angela,
Adam was the happiest being in the world, because he was the only creation into
which God blew His divine Breath and
gave him the most wonderful gifts of the "Holy
Spirit!"
"What are
these gifts, mum?"
“He gave him a
"mind" to think and "speech" to communicate with his
Creator. He also gave him a "spirit"
to feel, to love and to worship our
good God with all the power of his heart. Along with these gifts, He also gave
man the absolute freedom to decide
for himself about everything. This has made man very much like his Creator and to be an image of God! In this way, God
wanted to tell all of us humans, that we are "His own children" and that He is for us the true "Father" and "Mother" of our soul. He
would take care of our food and our home!"
"Where did
Adam live, mum? Did he have a beautiful house like ours?"
"When God
created Adam, He put him in a very beautiful place to live, Paradise. Paradise was a beautiful
garden full of colourful flowers and all kinds of trees, with innumerable birds
singing on their branches. Many rivers were crossing this vast garden and were
watering it with their cool waters. Small and large animals were quietly
grazing everywhere and playing with Adam as friends."
"How much I
would have liked to be with Adam in Paradise, to play with the animals!"
"Adam was
happy in Paradise and was thanking God for it. He had, however, something that
saddened him very much."
"What was
making him sad?"
"He did not
have a companion, a human like him, to talk to. God had not yet created his
wife."
"And how did
the good God create his wife?"
"First God put him to sleep and then took a piece from one of his ribs and made his
companion. So when Adam woke up and saw in front of him, the woman that God had
given him, he was very pleased and called her Eve. Since then, Adam and Eve were living together happily in
Paradise. And they would have always been happy if they did not make a very big
mistake that would force our good God to send them out of Paradise.”
"What mistake
did they make mum"
"Let's eat our
food now and then I'll tell you immediately."
